With the passage of marriage equality in Washington State, the Fairmont Olympic’s unique Seattle wedding promotion “Say yes and get the dress” has been expanded to “Say yes and get the dress – or the suit.” It will now include expert tailoring and custom men’s formal wear, also available via couture designer Luly Yang‘s boutique.
“We welcome all couples planning their dream wedding here at the Fairmont Olympic,” said Dana Schroader, Wedding Specialist at the hotel. The partnership with renowned designer, Luly Yang, is widely regarded as one of the most exciting and original bridal promotions in the city.
With the passage of Referendum 74, same-sex couples can now legally wed. The law went into effect on December 6, with the first weddings being performed on the 9, including an event hosted at Seattle City Hall that included 138 weddings. Later that evening, a group wedding reception for approximately 2,000 was held at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre.
Couples that reserve their wedding at the Fairmont Olympic Seattle hotel will receive their choice of either a “ready to wear” or “couture” level Luly Yang dress or custom tailored suit as a gift from the hotel.
“The package is simple,” said Jana Scopis, Director of Catering. “The questions of the venue and the dress (and now the suit) are often the most challenging decisions for couples. We feel that having both elements included with this package makes wedding planning a little less stressful and a lot more fun when you visit the hotel and make an appointment with Luly Yang.”
